A refractometer is an optical measuring device used to measure the refractive index of different liquids. There are different types of refractometers, some stationary and others handheld or digital. However, they all operate according to the same principle of light refraction. With a refractometer, you can measure the sugar content in fruit and malt, the water content in honey, the ability of antifreeze to prevent liquids from freezing, the density of urine, or the acid level in a battery. Likewise, a refractometer can measure the salinity of solutions such as seawater and the alcohol content of clear spirits, or the alcohol concentration in, for example, IPA alcohol in geothermal systems. A digital refractometer is an optical measuring device that allows the user to determine the mixing ratio of many different solutions.

This refractometer can check the glycol concentration using only a small amount of liquid. Easy operation and the waterproof housing make this test instrument an indispensable device for testing GLYCOL, providing the user with important, practical information within a few seconds. The body is made of chrome-plated brass, making this refractometer highly durable and resistant to chemical corrosion. This means that its service life is many times longer than that of ordinary aluminum housings. Temperature effects during use are compensated internally by the meter (ATC). After this automatic temperature compensation, the measurement result is displayed quickly and accurately on the glycol refractometer's large, easy-to-read LC display.
