AVProConnect AC-AVDM-AUHD – HDMI Audio Downmixer / audio extractor
AVProConnect AC-AVDM-AUHD is a professional HDMI audio processor designed to extract, decode and downmix audio from an HDMI signal. The unit is particularly useful when an HDMI source is to be connected to a monitor or projector while the audio needs to be sent on to a separate amplifier, receiver or other audio system.

The unit's primary function is to convert multi-channel HDMI audio to 2-channel stereo audio (LPCM 2.0). The extracted audio can then be output via analog RCA, optical Toslink, coaxial S/PDIF or HDMI.

This makes it possible, for example, to use a modern HDMI source together with an older stereo amplifier that lacks an HDMI input.

For HD/1080p use
For an installation that only uses HD/Full HD 1080p, the AC-AVDM-AUHD works very well as an audio extractor and downmixer. There is therefore no need to use the unit's 4K capabilities.
