Ekerö Innemöbler AB declared bankrupt – furniture to be auctioned via Budi.se

Long-established Ekerö Innemöbler AB has been declared bankrupt, and furniture and furnishings worth millions will now be auctioned off via Budi.se, with the auction ending on May 10.

Since its founding, Ekerö Innemöbler has had a clear business idea: to sell designer furniture that combined quality and functionality. This included brands such as Poliform, Fritz Hansen and Flos. On March 23, Ekerö Innemöbler AB was declared bankrupt, and furniture and furnishings worth millions are now set to be auctioned off on the auction platform Budi.se.

– We are clearly seeing the impact of the economy on the market, and even older, long-established companies are struggling in the current climate. But it feels good that we can auction off the items so they find new owners, says Johannes Winberg, Marketing Manager at Budi Auktioner.

By buying through Budi, Johannes explains, everyone has a chance to make a good deal while also supporting the circular economy and a more sustainable society.

– Budi markets itself in more than 80 countries, so there is a strong chance that the products will be won by bidders who may not be familiar with the company that has gone bankrupt. As we not only work with bankruptcies but also handle surplus stock from various companies in Sweden, we have a large customer database. Naturally, we carbon-offset all our shipments.

The bankruptcy auction for Ekerö Innemöbler AB (indoor furniture only) is now live at www.budi.se and ends on Wednesday, May 10.
