Budi celebrates five years – looking ahead to the future
Budi has reached an important milestone: five years since its start in a walk-in closet in Bromma. The journey from a first opportunity to win an assignment to today’s nationwide operation has been marked by growth, lessons learned and a strong sense of gratitude. The focus is now on the future and on continuing to change how companies manage machinery and equipment.
When Budi was founded, the plan was never to build a company with more than 30 employees and a nationwide operation. The idea was instead to create a tool to address a concrete need – to give things a longer life. Five years later, that vision has grown into something far bigger. Through auctions, valuations and asset disposal support, Budi has extended the lifecycle of machinery and equipment worth hundreds of millions of kronor.
Gratitude to everyone who has been part of the journey is central to the five-year celebration. From the first clients who dared to give Budi a chance, to today’s customers, partners and colleagues. It is together that change becomes possible.
Founders Johannes Winberg and Stefan Baronowsky emphasize that much still remains to be done.
– Most things remain to be done. A wonderful future, as Ingvar Kamprad put it. We look forward to continuing to grow and contribute to a more sustainable and transparent circular economy says Stefan Baronowsky.
With five years behind it and a strong sense of community within Team Budi, the company now moves forward – with the same conviction it had from the start: that things should be used, not thrown away.
