Heavy electric vehicles have now also reached the second-hand market. The green auction platform Budi is currently listing the first used all-electric truck for auction.
– It is positive for both the climate and the market that people looking to buy used can now choose electric alternatives, says Budi’s founder Johannes Winberg.
Budi Auktioner has grown rapidly since its launch in 2020 and is now a nationwide player, selling more than 250 trucks a year. The vehicles come from bank repossessions, bankruptcies or customers who simply want help selling their assets at the best market price.
– We are one of Sweden’s fastest-growing greentech companies and have helped extend the life cycle of machinery, vehicles and equipment worth hundreds of millions. And now we can also offer fully electric trucks, says Johannes Winberg.
First up is a Volvo FE Electric – a three-axle truck with a gross weight of up to 27 tonnes. It has a range of up to 200 kilometres on a single charge and is suitable, among other things, for demanding city transport such as waste management, light construction work and goods deliveries.
– This is only the beginning of a new second-hand market. At Budi, we see strong interest from both sellers and buyers. They know that we are experts in trucks and that we can help the seller throughout the entire process, including settling any outstanding debt before the sale. And as a buyer, you can feel confident that we are both knowledgeable and transparent, and we can also help with financing.
Budi is headquartered in Bromma, but today has auction brokers, service centres and storage yards around the country. Budi works with eleven full-scale facilities for trucks and construction equipment, where products that customers want to sell or buy are tested and improved.
