Malte Månson to serve as marketplace for Budi's online truck auctions
Malte Månson, Sweden's largest independent workshop chain for trucks and commercial vehicles, and Budi, the auction and marketplace for heavy vehicles, machinery and other movable assets, have entered into a new partnership. The partnership strengthens ties with sellers and buyers. Customers can now hand over the key to their vehicle, and Budi takes care of the entire process, from workshop inspection to delivery.
**Digital development in the transport industry is moving very quickly.
Business models are changing, and Budi is at the forefront, having launched online auctions for buying and selling trucks and heavy vehicles through digital channels.
“A new partnership between Budi and Malte Månson means that we can now take advantage of digitalization together, creating valuable growth opportunities,” says Staffan Lindewald, CEO of Malte Månson.
“For vehicles sold through Budi's auctions, we can now offer both condition tests under Malte Quality Check (MQC) and a wide range of workshop services – all to ensure the quality and safety of the vehicles sold via Budi's digital platform.”**
Budi Auktioner launched its digital marketplace for used trucks, heavy vehicles and related equipment in August 2020.
“We offer a new full-service solution that fills a major gap in the transport industry,” explains Johannes Winberg, Head of Marketing and co-owner of Budi.
“It is important to us that both buyers and sellers can do business digitally in a simple and profitable way, while also extending the lifecycle of existing products.”
Initially, Malte Månson will offer its services to Budi's customers at six facilities across the country: Gävle, Stockholm, Örebro, Linköping, Gothenburg and Helsingborg. In practical terms, the partnership means that these facilities will serve as the physical marketplaces, where ownership is transferred in connection with the condition tests.
If the seller wants something addressed before the sale, or the buyer before delivery, these workshop services – which also include work on truck bodies and hydraulics – can be carried out in connection with the sale.
“We are now looking forward to working together with Budi and developing this entirely new digital service for the market, which I am convinced will be appreciated by haulage companies and professional vehicle owners,” concludes Staffan Lindewald.
